ITALY. Sicilia (Regno). Federico I (Federico II, Sacro Romano Impero), 1198-1250. Tari (Gold, 12 mm, 2.47 g, 5 h), uncertain mint, perhaps Brindisi, circa 1231-1250. Crowned eagle facing with spread wings, head turned to left; in outer margin, pseudo-legend. Rev. Cruciform scepter between IC - XC and NI - KA. MEC 14, 529. Spahr 66. Ragged edge, otherwise, nearly very fine.
